Round-the-year Forest Management
The planning of forestry works is not based on the season but on the condition of the individual property’s soil. Looking at the mild winters in Estonia in recent years, there is extraordinarily little time for logging during the cold period. Our years of experience show that logging can be done round-the-year, and one of the best periods for forest management is the time when the summer heat is gone, but the autumn rainy season has not yet arrived.
The forest is a good investment when managed actively and timely
Unlike, e.g., unfortunately, real estate investments, the forest is not a passive investment that can be “monetized” when there is a specific need for it. When investing in forests, apart from income, the financial and time costs of planting and thinning must be considered.
